🚀 Exciting Developments in the HE MOF2H2 Project!
Yesterday and today at Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), we had an incredibly productive meetings with our partners to discuss the latest progress on our first-generation Zr-CuPyC MOF. It was inspiring to see the dedication and collaborative spirit driving this project forward. We focused on several key areas, including recent achievements, challenges, and the roadmap ahead.
🌍 MOF2H2: Game Changer for Water Splitting
Our mission is to revolutionize low carbon hydrogen production using sustainable photocatalytic overall water splitting. We’re proud to announce that we’ve achieved a record-breaking efficiency of 5% solar-to-hydrogen conversion! This milestone brings us closer to building a sustainable future.
🔬 Project Highlights:
👉 Objective: Improve MOF efficiency and understand their performance.
👉 Goal: Sustain MOF production, scaling up the two best MOFs, and ensuring their long-term stability.
👉 Impact: Producing low carbon hydrogen is crucial for decarbonizing energy, transport, and carbon-intensive industries.
📈 Recent Achievements:
Developed MOFs without noble metals achieving over 2-5% STH efficiency.
Created scalable, environmentally friendly photocatalytic systems for efficient OWS using sunlight.
🤝 Meeting Highlights: During both meetings, we had in-depth discussions on:
🔹 The optimization of Zr-CuPyC MOF synthesis and its impressive performance metrics.
🔹 Strategies for scaling up MOF production while maintaining efficiency and stability.
🔹 Addressing current challenges and setting actionable goals for the next phase of the project.
It was a great opportunity to share insights, align our strategies, and reinforce our commitment to innovation and sustainability. A special thank you to all our partners for their valuable contributions and unwavering dedication.
👏 Grateful for Our Partners: A big thank you to our partners for their collaboration and commitment. Together, we’re making significant strides in low carbon hydrogen production and paving the way for a greener future. HE MOF2H2 More information https://mof2h2.eu
