A strong scientific start to 2026 at HG Energy with Prof. Valérie Keller

Jan, 13, 2026

HG Energy kicked off its scientific activities of 2026 with an excellent talk by Prof. Valérie Keller, which took place yesterday at the ITQ Auditorium. Prof. Keller is a senior researcher at ICPEES (CNRS–University of Strasbourg) and an internationally recognized expert in photocatalysis and photo-driven catalytic processes.
This first scientific talk of the year brought together members of the HG Energy group, setting a strong and inspiring start for 2026.
In her talk, “Photo-driven heterogeneous catalysis using C-based photocatalytic systems”, Prof. Keller shared recent advances in photo-driven catalysis, highlighting the role of carbon-based materials combined with semiconductors to improve light absorption and photocatalytic performance.
She addressed key energy and environmental challenges such as solar fuels production, CO₂ conversion, and photocatalytic processes for environmental remediation, presenting innovative approaches based on advanced carbon materials and their potential for efficient and sustainable catalytic systems.
The talk generated very active participation from the group, with insightful questions and stimulating scientific discussion, reflecting the strong interest and expertise within HG Energy.
We are very proud to have Prof. Valérie Keller with us at HG Energy. Her scientific excellence and international experience represent a great added value for the group and mark an excellent starting point for the scientific activities of 2026.
