Professor Hermenegildo García, leader of the HG Energy from ITQ-UPV/CSIC at Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), has once again been recognized as a #HighlyCitedResearcher (HCR) by Clarivate in its 2024 edition. This marks the 11th consecutive year that Professor García has earned this distinction, reflecting his lasting influence and significant contributions to #Catalysis and #SustainableTechnologies.
The #HighlyCitedResearchers (HCR) distinction identifies scientists whose publications rank among the top 1% most cited in their respective fields. Professor García’s research continues to advance solutions for #CO2Utilization and the development of catalytic materials for #SustainableEnergy.
This year, Professor García shares this recognition with esteemed colleagues from Universidad Politecnica de Valencia (UPV) and collaborators Avelino Corma, Juan Bisquert, and Luis Guanter, further highlighting the excellence of the #ScientificCommunity in Spain and its global impact.
In addition to this honor, Professor García’s career is distinguished by numerous awards, including the Janssen-Cilag Award from the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry and the Rey Jaime I Award in New Technologies. He also holds honorary titles such as Doctor Honoris Causa from the University of Bucharest and Honorary Professor at King Abdulaziz University. His leadership extends to serving as President of the International Advisory Editorial Board of ChemCatChem.
