Yesterday at HG Energy’s Monday Seminar, we had the honor of hosting Professor Carlos Baleizão from the Centro de Química Estrutural, Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, Portugal.
His talk, titled “Hybrid (nano)materials for societal challenges: health, energy, and environment,” explored the potential of nanomaterials in addressing critical global issues. From bioimaging and smart polymers to hybrid mesoporous silica nanocontainers, Professor Baleizão captivated the audience with innovative research shaping the future of energy, environment and health.
The session was dynamic and interactive, with participants engaging in thought-provoking discussions on nanotechnology’s role in sustainability and energy efficiency. The open Q&A session sparked insightful questions, making it clear that the HG Energy community is deeply invested in the intersection of science and real-world impact.
