HG energy participates in the 5th International Symposium on Energy and Environmental Photocatalytic Materials (EEPM‑5)

Nov, 5, 2025

HG energy is present this week at the 5th International Symposium on Energy and Environmental Photocatalytic Materials (EEPM‑5), held from 3–6 November 2025 at the Concorde Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Our group leader and researcher, Hermenegildo García, is actively contributing to the scientific programme. He is chairing the session “Photocatalysis for Energy Applications I” and has presented his talk titled “Photocatalytic conversion of CO₂ and N₂ with H₂O to solar fuels and NH₃: Can we make a difference?”. His participation has led to engaging discussions with other researchers, with a lively exchange of ideas on the potential of photocatalysis to address energy and environmental challenges. The session created a space for thoughtful interaction, questions, and constructive feedback from peers across different institutions.

EEPM‑5 brings together researchers from around the world to share new ideas and recent work in photocatalysis and photoelectrocatalysis. The talks cover a wide range of topics and show the depth and quality of research happening in the field.

Beyond the scientific sessions, the event offers plenty of chances to connect with colleagues, exchange perspectives, and explore possible collaborations. For HG energy, it’s a valuable opportunity to be part of a global community working toward more sustainable energy solutions.

We thank the organisers for the kind invitation and the opportunity to take part in such a well-organised and enriching programme.
