International Day of Women and Girls in Science: Recognising talent, inspiring future generations
11 February, 2026
On the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, HG energy joins the global community in recognising the essential role that women play in scientific and technological progress.
Science and innovation are key drivers of the energy transition, and diverse perspectives are fundamental to building more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient solutions. Women contribute knowledge, leadership, and commitment at every level of science and engineering, yet they continue to face barriers that limit equal access to opportunities and recognition.
At the same time, encouraging girls from an early age to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics is essential. Supporting curiosity, education, and role models helps ensure that future generations can choose scientific careers freely and confidently.
At HG energy, we are aware of the responsibility we share in promoting equality and inclusion within our sector. We value talent based on knowledge, experience and dedication, and we support initiatives that contribute to a more balanced and fair scientific environment.
Today is an opportunity to recognise the women who contribute every day to science and energy, and to reaffirm our commitment to creating spaces where girls and young women can see science as a real and achievable path.
