A full day dedicated to remembering Miguel Ángel through science, and through the deep human connections that shaped his life and work.

The participation of his colleagues and friends was deeply meaningful, not only in the scientific realm, but especially in the human one. At HG Energy, we are very satisfied with how the day unfolded. Every contribution added real value, with a strong balance of scientific insight and heartfelt emotion.

The day’s program reflected key moments in Miguel Ángel’s journey, from his early university years and doctoral studies, to the foundation of the ITQ, and his leadership in photochemistry and photobiology both nationally and internationally.

Special moments included the “Luz, Química y Vida” video tribute, the touching montage of photos from his life, and several heartfelt videos sent by those who couldn’t attend in person.

Prof. Hermenegildo García, Miguel Ángel’s first PhD student, offered a moving reflection, speaking with great admiration about Miguel Ángel not only as a scientist, but also as someone who stood out for his generosity and humanity.

We also want to thank Dra. Ana Primo for her warm words addressed to Miguel Ángel’s family, which brought a deep emotional close to the morning session.

It was a day of science and emotion in equal measure, a tribute to someone who lived with integrity, curiosity, and deep care for those around him.
