HG energy at RomCat2025: Contributing to the Global Dialogue on Catalysis

July,11

We are pleased to share that two researchers from HG energy, Dr. Ana Primo and Prof. Hermenegildo García, were invited as plenary speakers at the 14th International Symposium of the Romanian Catalysis Society (RomCat2025), held in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, from 9 to 11 July 2025.

Out of five plenary lectures, two were delivered by our team—an honour that reflects HG energy’s active role in the international catalysis community.

Dr. Ana Primo: MXenes as Photocatalysts for Solar Fuel Production

Prof. Hermenegildo García: MXenes as New Solid Catalysts for Organic Reactions

RomCat2025 brought together researchers from across Europe and beyond to discuss advances in catalysis, materials science, and sustainable chemical technologies. The program included a well-balanced combination of keynote lectures, oral communications, and poster sessions, covering a broad range of topics—from photocatalysis and biocatalysis to reaction mechanisms and catalyst design. These sessions were complemented by informal networking moments, such as concerts and shared meals, encouraging scientific exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration.

We thank the organising committee for their outstanding work, and in particular QMC Acad. Prof. Dr. Vasile I. Parvulescu of the University of Bucharest for the kind invitation and thoughtful coordination.
