Scientific Exchange and Climate Learning at HG Energy

June 23

Last week at HG Energy, we welcomed Dr. R. Sebastian Sprick from the University of Strathclyde for a talk focused on “Conjugated polymers as photocatalysts for hydrogen production and carbon dioxide conversion.”

The session sparked valuable scientific discussions around the role of conjugated microporous polymers in sustainable energy. Researchers from diverse backgrounds exchanged ideas on how photocatalytic materials can be advanced to address current energy and climate challenges.

Following the talk, participants joined the Climate Fresk Workshop, a collaborative and interactive session based on IPCC data. Using a gamified approach with 42 visual cards, attendees explored climate system dynamics, feedback loops, and the societal impacts of climate change. The discussions led to the identification of key links between SDGs, personal behavior, and public policy.

This combination of scientific depth and participatory learning reflects HG Energy’s commitment to cross-disciplinary collaboration and practical climate literacy.
