HG Energy: Strong Science Starts with a Strong Team

2 nov. 2026

Ana Primo, leader of the HG Energy research group, shares the scientific work and the people behind the group’s research at international conferences.

Today, Ana Primo, leader of the HG Energy research group at the Instituto de Tecnología Química (ITQ, UPV-CSIC), presented a talk that she has shared, as invited speaker, at several international scientific conferences throughout 2026, including EuroMXene Congress in Dublin, Graphene 2026 in Barcelona, and the Graphene and 2D Materials Forum in Seville.

Entitled “Versatile 2D Materials for Next-Generation Catalysis”, the presentation offers a clear and well-structured overview of the group’s research on advanced two-dimensional materials, particularly MXenes, and their applications in photocatalysis, thermal catalysis and electrocatalysis.

Beyond the scientific results, one of the most valuable aspects of the presentation is its focus on the people behind the research.

Throughout the talk, Ana introduces several members of HG Energy, highlighting their individual contributions, presenting their published work and including photographs and videos of researchers carrying out experiments in the laboratory.

Above all, it conveys a simple but important message: good science is built through teamwork.
